Here is a short video on how to upload images. There are already instructions on the blog (under the About menu) on how to upload pictures, but the video also includes how to modify the image in the following ways:
- Change size
- Crop
- Flip horizontal, vertical, clockwise or counter-clockwise
These features were not available when I made the uploading “how to.” The current version of the WordPress software includes these new features.

The scaling process described here doesn’t actually change the size of the image in terms of how much space it takes up on the server, it just creates a modified version that is displayed on the post. So if your image is very large, like over 1.4 megabytes, you might want to consider scaling it down to size a little before you upload it, just to save space on the server. On a Mac this can be done with iPhoto. If you use Windows, I think Picasa is free and available from http://picasa.google.com
You don’t want to make your images wider than 600 pixels unless you are using thumbnail versions that expand when you click on them, because 600 pixels is the width of the blog space (the space between the two sidebars.)
Try it!

I put in a new version of the video that loads much faster.
You showed how to do that so well I think that even I can do it! Thanks
