Kulturshock!

I recently talked with my family and in the course of conversation they helped me realize that I am undergoing culture shock 😀 It is quite interesting learning how to trust God in the midst of a new cross cultural situation. As my Dad said, culture shock can have the effect of an exaggeration of one’s personality. And, as I’m sure you all know, I am quite extroverted––and I am feeling even more like being with people than usual 😀 At times it is a struggle to put my worth in Christ, and instead I put my worth in being with people or having people think well of me. But I am grateful for how the Lord is refining me through fire. He is so good! But it can be quite painful, too 🙂 My desire is to remain in Christ and to see His glory even more, and see how the very different culture(s) I am surrounded by glorify who He is.
