On Friday Oct 27, around 9:00AM, Phyllis and Audrey and I left home for a trip to Delaware and Philadelphia to visit some supporting churches. We arrived home yesterday, Nov 6, at about 5:30 PM. On the way up we stopped in Abingdon to have lunch with Philip. We went to Allison’s and enjoyed a very good lunch. On Friday night we stayed at Phyllis’ sister’s house in Hagerstown, MD. On Saturday, Audrey went with her cousins to a “walk through the Bible” event while Phyllis and I went on to our first church visit after having stopped by Wilmington to say hi to family. We went to Third Reformed in Philadelphia. I spoke Saturday night after a church dinner, and the next day in Sunday School, and I preached in the morning worship service. Then we went to Wilmington where Audrey had also gone with Phyllis’ sister and family. We had a good time visiting with family. On Tuesday morning I spoke to a group of men from a supporting church. On Wednesday we had lunch with a seminary student and his wife that we had met at Third Reformed. On Thursday we went to visit Woody and Sharon and Adam and Kristen and Ginny and Jake and Joe, at the Millers’ house in Philadelphia. On Saturday we headed for southern Delaware for our final church visit. We got to see the place where Phyllis went to nursing school. On Saturday night we stayed with a family from the church. I spoke in Sunday School the next morning. After the worship service some church members took us out to eat, and then we left for home. We got to just north of Roanoke, and came the rest of the way home on Monday. I’ll let Phyllis and Audrey fill in the details. It was a good trip, and we’re glad to be home.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like a very full trip.

it was sooooooooooooo fun! It was a little weird not having my three siblings there, but I have done it before, so it wasn’t that weird, but I wish they could have come. I enjoyed it, and look forward to Thanksgiving with you all!

it was weird not going with you, Audrey.
