I’m sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for my flight to Chattanooga. I’ve been away from home for three weeks. Thankfully, Phyllis was able to join me for a week in the middle. And she was so helpful! Everyone was thankful she was able to go.
Two new missionary families arrived for language school on September 18th. So most of my time was spent helping them find a place to rent, buy beds, appliances, kitchen table/chairs, etc. Of course I did a lot of translating for them. I also gave them some initial pointers on cultural adjustment, as well as helping them initial cross-cultural stress. By the time I left they were pretty well settled in. They will begin language school on October 15th, less than a month from their arrival, which was my goal.
It’s nice to be coming home.

Welcome home. Glad things went well.
Oh, I’m so happy to hear all the good reports! I can’t wait to see you in just a couple hours!
We are praying for your safe arrival from Atlanta to home.
I’m so excited to see you soon! Glad it went well.
You have been in our prayers all along. We are thankful for the Lord’s blessings including a safe trip home. Dad
We’re glad that things went well.
Glad you are back. We’ll have to get together sometime soon at O’Charley’s. I’m sure your attention to these new missionaries has helped their transition tremendously. I know it would make me feel more supported.
