We have been missionaries since 1980–at least that’s when I joined up with World Presbyterian Missions. (That’s also when I met Phyllis, so she was in the process of joining me 🙂 ) Since that time we’ve never lost a major supporting church. A couple of months ago we did. This church was giving 500 dollars a month toward our support. They said they had shifted priorities. Also, an individual who was giving 200 a month recently decided to refocus their giving. This was another missionary who needed to focus their giving on their own area. So that puts us 700 dollars a month in the red. We would appreciate your prayers about this.
On the other hand, we have increasingly received requests from supporting churches to help them with their own missional outreach. So, for example, I’m going to visit a supporting church in Dallas this May to give them a workshop on contextualization and outreach. Solidifying and building on partnering relationships like this that we’ve had over the years is gratifying.

We will pray that you will be given wisdom as you are dependent upon churches and individuals for support, Perhaps as Janice suggests, God is directing you along another road. Dad & Judy
