Well today is the first day I’ve had my computer in a couple of weeks. I was in Nashville the week after Labor Day and then we were in The Country Inn and Suites and our computer was in the apartment. So why were we in The Country Inn and Suites instead of our apartment? BEDBUGS!
We discovered that our apartment, particulary the Master bedroom had bedbugs. I though bedbugs were an imaginary creatures. David and I have bites from head to toe.
The past 4 days I have spent at the apartment trying to move our things to our rental house, but trying to be so careful not to move the bugs with us. (We hope we didn’t take them to Nashville with us over Labor Day). Last weekend we spent about $130 at the Laundromat, washing and drying everything from the apartment. Then we brought them to the rental house. Then Monday and Tuesday I went over to the apartment and painstakingly wiped everything with Clorox wipes before I packed it into plastic containers. We left several things there that might be suspect for containing bugs. We also bought a small steamer since we read that steam will kill bugs and eggs. Last night I steamed our whole family’s shoes. We are being so careful not to bring bugs with us. We could have even taken them to the hotel I suppose.
Please pray that we will NOT bring bugs with us!
We were supposed to move into our rental house on Monday but the driver of the van was not well and had to go to the hospital for tests. And then today, we he was finally coming it rained all day and we asked if they could come tomorrow instead. I’m sorry the man wasn’t well, but I was thankful for the extra days to pack the apartment, since I just couldn’t throw things in boxes and go.
Emily has not felt extremely well since we’ve been here and has missed school at least one day every week. It has made her feel like she doesn’t know what’s going on in her classes. Also, she is needing some stability in her life so we have decided to home school her. Please pray that we will be able to coordinate her schooling quickly.
Tomorrow the movers come and I suppose we will be unpacking boxes and steaming things through the weekend, maybe even longer.

It seems clear that the Lord lead you to where you are, so it’s not always easy to understand when Crazy Daze come. But we will pray for you.

I am prayin’, I surely am! Indeed, it sounds like ver tedious work. I hope all goes well, and I am sure the King of Kings’ plan is at work even now. It is hard for me to believe that so many times. He has done and is doing great things! My imagination cannot fathom what He is doing!

Orkin is coming Monday morning to check and see if we have any bugs. Until then we are going to sleep in a hotel. We are also not going to unpack many more boxes in order to makes it easier to check and treat.

What a chore!
By the way, do you have a new cell phone #?
Sharon
We still have the same cell phone numbers for now. We were wanting to wait until all the transition was over. Probably this weekend we’ll change. We may change to cingular because David has cingular through work. I forgot his new number but I’ll find out and send it along.
Orkin came today and saw no signs that we had brough bugs from Nashville, which was good. Now we just have to be very careful as we unpack things from the apartment.
