Arrived home

by Gary on June 26, 2011

We left Augusta at 2:00 after going to church with Dad and Judy and then having lunch with them at TBonz. We arrived home at 6:30, having stopped twice for a total of about 20 minutes. Hope you all have arrived home safely.

We arrived safely about 5 pm Franklin time. Caravaned with Nathan until we ate lunch together north of Atlanta. Drive was mostly uneventful except for the torrential downpour from the south base of Monteagle to to north base. The temperature dropped 23 degrees in about 6 minutes.

The wedding was beautiful and we really enjoyed seeing everyone.

It was good to see everyone. Back to the “real” world. 🙂

It’s nice to be home, but it’s hard to leave everybody. I already miss everyone so much!

Our trip home was good. We almost caught up with the Stroud family in Roanoke Virginia and would have if they stopped for lunch but they took it on the road. When we crossed into Pennsylvania a bad accident closed the interstate so we baled out and took a non-interstate road the rest of the way. We found a small family run Italian restaurant for supper. Got home at 8:30 pm, unpacked and had a good night sleep in our own beds.
