Early this morning I had an endoscopy done, which is where they stick a tube down the esophagus to look inside the stomach. It went well. I was nervous, but everyone was so friendly. I was most nervous about the I.V., but that was okay. It was really interesting being put to sleep! In fact, I enjoyed that part 😀 The doctor says that things look pretty good down there, besides the fact that I most likely have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Of course, I already knew that my bowel was irritable, but now it is officially named 😉 It may be that certain foods are making the IBS worse, so I may go to a nutritionist or allergist to see if they can pin point foods that disturb the fluidity of my digestive tract. So, I’m glad it’s over, and thank you to those who were praying for me! Thanks also to those who had had an endoscopy before and encouraged me about it!

I’m so glad it went well. I hope this procedure helps solve the mystery of your stomach 🙂
We prayed for you and the procedure. I know that you are gad that the test is over. Now we will pray that you will find some help and that you will able to regulate the discomfort. Grandpa Tom & Grandma Judy
I am glad that you are getting closer to a resolution and that the endoscopy proved not to be too terrible. We’ll keep praying. I had an endoscopy in 1996 when I had a mystery disease and I remember that I had difficulty sleeping in the weeks prior to the procedure and that I felt like at least the anesthesia helped me catch up on some sleep. Not sure if it really works that way, but it was a silver lining nonetheless.
Glad it went well
