Job Search

I would appreciate ya’lls prayers for my continued job search process. I feel like I am spent and about to run out of gas. What a gruelling and emotional process. So, here’s the update.

I recieved an offer from the small consulting firm in Oklahoma. Positives: Not a bad salary, we know the area, we have frinds there, we have a good church there. Negatives: it’s at the other end of the world from family, no benefits to speak of, no relocation assistancce. I start on 7/31 unless something else comes along.

I was told by Dell that I would recieve an offer. They dragged their feet, then they called and said the position had been cancelled and that they had a hiring freeze dur to a poor financial performance and outlook. I think it’s because the Waldeckers (and James) use Macs. Bummer, because that would have kept us in Nashville.

Bank of America: In Charlotte. Had another phone interview today. I think it went well. They said they would probably fly me and Janice there to speed things up since they know I have another offer on the table. Since we can’t stay in Nashville, I really would like this opportunity. I don’t know if they will be able to get me through the process in time. But they are trying. Positives, closer to family, betetr benefits, relo, etc. Negatives: have to move.

Covenant: I will call Jeff Hall later today to see where they stand and if they can move things along quicker.

I would apprecauite your prayers that God would open or close the doors quickly on Covenant and Bank of America, so that we can feel somewhat settled sooner than later.
