How School’s Going for Me and Beyond

So, I have begun my last semester of college and it seems to be going pretty well thus far. I am enjoyed my classes, which are: New Testament Ethics, American Music, Drawing I, Senior Integration Project, Voice Lessons and Performance Seminar. Only two of the classes are note-taking classes (NT Ethics and American Music), which is really nice. I am hoping that I’ll get exempt from final exams, but we’ll see…I think my favorite classes so far are NT Ethics and my Senior Integration Project (SIP). For my SIP I am doing a research paper, in which I hope to theologically analyze a German folktale.  I plan to compare and contrast the German folktale story with the biblical story (of which we find ourselves a part) and see how the folktale can point us to Christ. I think it is going to be fascinating and fun. One of the problems, though, is finding time to do it because the deadlines aren’t close by as of yet and my other homework has taken precedence so far 🙂  I’ll probably do one of the folktales collected by the Brothers Grimm.
On another note, I have still been struggling with stomach issues. I have had what I call “mini food-poisnonings” about 4 times since August, where my stomach has been quite upset. I’m not sure if it’s a food allergy or what, but I am on a food elimination diet that is supposed to help me figure that out. So far nothing has become clear, except that in Level 1 of the diet, I was feeling pretty good and when Level 2 diet came I didn’t feel as good as often. I would appreciate prayer for that, because I am frustrated with not having figured it out in three years and I am quite confused about what to eat and what not to eat.
On the whole, I am doing quite well, though. School is challenging but good, and I hope to start doing ballroom dancing on Tuesday evenings at the college. I am super excited about that! Oh, and the cooler weather and changing leaves make me quite happy. 🙂
