It has been a long time since I have posted an update to the family blog. Sorry for the long absence. As all of you know, I turned 32 yesterday. I celebrated on Friday by not going to work, then went to work Saturday for a few hours to do non work related work. I then played disc golf with Uncle Gary (first time that I had played in about a year) and had a lot of fun as well as some good exercise. I then went back to the Waldecker’s and had a very tasty dinner, followed by a Settler of Catan Traders and Barbarians game (first for me as well). I think that everyone had fun! During the game, we ate four of my favorite things – chocolate, peanuts, butter, and pie – a Chocolate Peanut-butter Pie.
Tomorrow I leave for Portland Maine and will spend the week at Unum’s sister sight there. The main purpose of the trip is to present the findings of a project myself and 5 others have been working on for the past 3 months. I will also be attending the second half of a leadership training program as well as shadowing with some of my Portland cohorts in claims to learn a claims model that a potential customer is interested in. They come in for a finalist visit later in March.
Recently I also did a finalist presentation for a large hospital group – 160,000 lives. They signed with us which was really exciting!
My roommate will be getting married in November, so I will be looking for a new roommate soon as well.

I’m glad your birthday went well, and I hope the conference goes well too (though I’m sure nothing beats chocolate peanut butter pie)!
Glad you had a nice day. Enjoy Maine!

We had a lot of fun with Nathan. He appropriately became Lord of Catan on his birthday 😀
