A Prayer Request

by Jannylynn on January 15, 2010

Most of you know I had a root canal just before Thanksgiving.  It never has been right.  It is still very sensitive to pressure.  I know the endodontist got all the nerves because when my dentist put my permanent filling in, he didn’t have to deaden the tooth and I didn’t feel anything.  Anyway, I have an appointment with the endodontist next Wednesday, but I started another round of antibiotics yesterday.  I was having a swollen face and my neck keeps popping. . .  strange, I know.   But anyway. Please pray that this round of antibiotics will take care of the trouble.

I’ll be praying. My jaw has been hurting from time to time, and I have noticed that when it hurts the most the lymph nodes on the right side of my neck are swollen. My jaw also cracks. Maybe I have some kind of tooth infection, too.

We will pray. It must be so uncomfortable. I hope the edodontist figures out what the problem is.

Well I went to the endodontist on Wednesday and he took another x-ray. He did not see anything alarming, though he did see some sort of separation around the root of my tooth. He checked my bite and did notice that my crown on my tooth was high in one spot so he ground it down a bit so it wasn’t hitting so much. He said that that may have been the problem all along and to give it a week and see if the pain goes away. He also suggested that I may be grinding or clenching my teeth at night because of the other symptoms I had……ears feeling full, swollen glands, neck popping, etc.

My guess is that I have been grinding or clenching my teeth because of the soreness of the one tooth, which was sore because by crown was too high. It already feels a bit better. So we’ll see how things progress.

I ended up breaking out yesterday in an itchy rash, which I guess is from the penicillin. So the doctor told me to stop taking it. I only had one pill left anyway.

So anyway, thank you for your prayers. Continue, if you will to pray that the sensitivity will now subside. Thanks a bunch!
