I recently noticed that some of my flowers – called Malempodium – that were planted in my baskets attached to the front railing, were missing their petals. The next day I saw the culprit. Four Goldfinches were sitting in one of the baskets just munching down on the petals.

So which is better to have–the malempodium or the finches? To be or not to be…
I like feeding the birds. I just wish they would eat the ones in the backyard instead….they all seem to be left alone.
