Reunion Ideas

by Audrey on May 19, 2009

I thought we could have a post where we throw out our ideas for a family reunion this year.

Is it possible to have a week and a half to two week reunion? I know that might be hard, but I thought I would throw out my wild ideas. 🙂

I do not have to work the month of August (though I start school at the end of August). Maybe that would be difficult this summer, but maybe at Christmas time we could have a 2 week reunion (maybe in West Virginia where there is SNOW!).

Poppop, I look forward to the 31st and talking about the reunion!

I couldn’t do more than a few days before next summer (2010). But I could do a few days sometime this summer or around Christmas.

I don’t know where we should go or when. However I firmly believe that we should all be there at the same time.

I hope this clears up my thoughts on the matter.

Let’s sing and dance and play games. Snow or swimming would be nice as well. Volley ball, disc golf, Catan, Skip Bo, hiking, canoeing, white water rafting, tubing, eating out, river cruise, capture the flag, sledding, snowball fights, etc

I’m afraid the Brauer’s will be very hard pressed for any extended time away. It will be a matter of prayerful consideration though.

Perhaps we can plan a two week reunion for 2012 or something like that.

So, we are looking at a week reunion or weekend reunion?

What happened to 2010 and 2011?

😀 I often think a little too far into the future! I skipped 2010 probably because I was thinking about writing my Senior Integration Paper in the summer and I skipped 2011 because I was thinking of going to Chile for 2 months. But there is no reason we cannot plan a 2 week reunion then! I am so silly 😳

As far as we know the AW’s can come to our house July 4th weekend. I think I heard a rumor that the Churchills can come then too? Dad and Judy think they can. Anyone else? Let us know.
I photocopied my Mom’s address book so I could send a letter to family and friends about what is going on. In it she had the phone number for the WV house. She wrote it down when we went there. Should we go there around Christmas/New Years? Would that be better for the Brauers and Millers? (This would be in addition to July 4 and any other spontaneous get togethers)

Yes, we are available the weekend of July 4th. We had wanted to try to come when Seth is there, but it can’t work out with all that David has going on at work right now. I’m not sure about Christmas, but I’ll check on it.

I would love to go back to WV, for I was too young to participate in the snow ball fight and I want to this time! We should definitely look into it.

Would love to go to WVA. We are going to see my family 12/26-29. We could do something from the 30th – 4th or so.
