I was just wondering some stuff:
James, when do you start and end your internship? Will you be staying at Wake Forrest?
Katie, will you be on the swim team this summer?
Uncle Woody and Aunt Sharon, how is the antiqueing business going?
Poppop and Grandma Judy, did your church decide to call Pastor Willet?
When should we have our next family reunion?

Audrey, I’ll actually be staying at home for my summer internship. Most of my research will be conducted at the Catawba Cultural Center in Rock Hill, SC, which is closer to Charlotte than to Winston-Salem. They have much of the information to be found regarding the Catawba language.
As regards when I start, that’s an interesting question… I had planned to start my internship this week, but the lady from the cultural center I contacted earlier this year just emailed me and said she didn’t realize I needed to use their resources all summer (which I know I explained to her). Anyway, she’s on lay-off now and isn’t even working there. However, I plan to contact the director of the museum and hopefully start my research next week, which I will continue for a 10-week period.
That was probably more than you wanted/needed to know, but I think I answered your question 🙂
Lots of good questions.
Good questions to ponder…
I think that our next family reunion should be soon and in the US Virgin Ilse
Scott Willet and family are in the process of moving to Redeemer Church. They need to sell their house in Va. They have already moved some stuff here. We will see you at dinner on May 31st in Cartersville. Maybe then we can talk about a reunion Grandpa Tom
What about over the July 4th weekend for a Family Reunion?
I’m glad you get to stay home James! Too bad you couldn’t start the internship right away.
We had a delightful weekend with Adam, Kristen, Ginny, and Lilly. It was good to spend some time together. Kate is wrapping up her school year and we have a program review (a reviewer is coming to see her work this year) in a couple of weeks. Our antique and collectible business is doing ok. For the first time in a long time we have some cash reserve. I think part of the reason is we have become more selective in our buying. I’m also working to catch up on the number of minor repairs to make to various goods so I can bring them to market. Eric is going to be moving back to Florida in a couple of weeks. It came about fairly quickly that he needed to move back, so he called his old employer and they said they did indeed need him back in his old job. So he turned in his notice and already has a place to stay. How’s that for God’s providence?

Good to hear from you! Is Katie swimming again this summer? Hope Eric’s move goes well!
