Praises

I am thankful for two things that happened this week. First, I called the hospital to talk to them about my bill and they told me, to my surprise, that I didn’t owe anything anymore! The balance went from $1000 to $0! They didn’t say why, but it may have to do with some questions that we sent the hospital about my bill. Anyway, that’s an unexpected surprise!

Also, I got hired on Friday to become a leasing agent. A Christian family wants to rent an apartment on top of their house to single Christian ladies and the family wants me to help find such renters. After that they want me to help them find renters for two other houses. I’ll get $100 commission for ever person that becomes a renter through my efforts. This is only a part-time job, so I’m still working as an assistant seamstress. I am hesitant as to whether or not I’ll enjoy being a leasing agent. I don’t like the fact that my income from this job depends upon persuasion. I’m already seeing people as customers instead of friends. However, my mom reminded me that we are to be a blessing to others in our work, whatever it is. Despite this hesitancy, I think I will enjoy this job. I like the family that hired me. At any rate, I know I shouldn’t be anxious about my income. God has taken care of me so far and I know he will continue to do so.
