We took Andrea to the emergency room tonight (Saturday night) and she was just diagnosed with appendicitis. We assume they’ll operate either tonight (it’s already 3:50 AM) or tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
Here is a picture of Andrea before we knew she had appendicitis:

Wow! I am praying for you, Andrea!
I’m praying. God be with you, sweet girl.
I am praying for you.
the surgeon came in and says he’s not sure it really is appendicitis. I guess it’s harder to tell when people are thin. But they’re going to take it out anyway and also look around.
Tell her I’m thinking of her.
The operation was done at 12:20 PM. She did have appendicitis. She’s in recovery and we are eating lunch at the hospital cafeteria.
Andrea just got back to the room. She’s thirsty.
The doctor said it was pretty bad. Have to watch for infection. I think she has a high tolerance for pain.
I’m using my iPod touch to communicate. The hospital has WiFi.
Wow! I will be praying for you Andrea!!!
Andrea, I feel so bad for you–and amazed that you have such a high pain tolerance! I’m praying for your quick recovery and thankful for a successful operation.
Glad to hear the surgery went well and that Andrea is OK!
I added a photo.
love you girl…praying also a. janie
Andrea may stay another night tonight (Monday)–possible infection.
will they need to operate again
We have been and will continue to pray that your recovery will be complete, Grandpa Tom & Grandma Judy
Andrea will indeed be staying tonight. Hopefully she can go home tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers.
Many people have been asking about Andrea up at Covenant and are praying for her, too. I am a-prayin’!
We’re praying for your speedy recovery.
While in many ways Andrea is recovering from the appendectomy, she needs to stay in the hospital at least one more night due to infection. Evidently the appendix was so bad that it was starting to affect the abdominal wall. Not peritonitis, but not the in-and-out surgery that might have been otherwise expected.
We received the news this morning that Andrea will be able to come home today!
Yay!
So glad to hear it!
Wow! So glad she’s doing better!
Andrea is home from the hospital. We arrived around 4:30 this afternoon. Please keep praying for her full recovery. Thanks.
I will be praying

I’m so glad to hear of your recovery!
This morning Andrea was feeling faint. I think it was from lack of eating. After having eaten something she’s feeling better.
I’m glad eating helped.
Thank you all for your prayers and concern. This has not been a pleasant experience but it has been made so much better by all the help anTd kindness I have received. If I have gotten anything positive out of this experience it is to realize that my life really is in God’s hands.
Glad to see you are home and up at the computer. I’m so glad you’re on the mend.
Andrea, so glad you are feeling better.
Andrea is doing so much better today. Not quite ready to go back to work, but we’re so happy to see her getting back to her normal self.
Hooray!
Glad to hear it!!
