A nice trip, and nice to be home

by Audrey on January 5, 2009

We went up to DE for New Years, and we got back last night around 8:40. Well, we had a relatively speedy trip home (about 12 1/2 hours long including stops). Around 12:30 pm we stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel (yum!) and we had to wait about 30 minutes. I read a book I got for Christmas most of the way down (Brisinger by Christopher Paolini). I like it thus far!

Now, I have about a week before school starts. I bought some of my books online already, and hope to buy the rest in the Tuck Shoppe tomorrow. I am taking the following 6 courses which add up to 17 credits: Cultural Heritage of the West II, Christian Doctrine II, German Conversation, Roots of Dutch Neo-Calvinism, Astronomy and Voice Lessons. At the end of last semester I think I was quite worn out from deep studying, and I prayed that the Lord would renew my passion for learning and, guess what? I am increasingly getting excited about learning this semester 😀 I am extremely happy that I get to live at home this semester! I am glad I experienced what it is like to live in the dorms, so now I know that I do not really like it 🙂

I will probably continue going to ballroom dancing class once a week up at the college and I hope to keep a regular exercise schedule that would include the elliptical machine, irish dancing (Seth got me the second volume for Christmas! Yipee, five more dances!), disc golf, lifting weights and abdomen exercises. I enjoy a piece of each 😉
