It has been a few weeks since my last post, so I though that I would take quick moment (seeing how I do this at work) to update everyone.
Church is going well. I now have at least one guy and possible two that have expressed an interest in helping with the sound system. I have been able to just sit in the sevice twice in the past two months. I have a meeting with my pastor next week and will be talking with him about possibly moving toward my role with the sound as being more supervisory and budgetary as I have been doing something like this since I was about 13 years old. I did take a break during the first three years of college, but I think that I am ready for another.
The House: The garage flooded just a little bit two weeks ago when it rained all day here in Chatt. It did not flood until the rain stopped though. I did discover that when the house was built, they did not put a french drain in, so that is probably the main cause of this. Not certain what the expence of putting one in will be. Also I am enrolled in a Crown Financial Minitries course through my church. We start this Sunday. Should be a lot of fun and I expect that I will learn a lot as well.
The Job: Still working. There are some opportunities comming up that I have expressed an interest in, so perhaps that will play out. The big news for me though is that yesterday, I was informed that my promotion has gone through. It is interesting, after 16 months of anticipating this, I had almost forgotten by the time I got home.
That is the news you can use.

Great news about the promotion, Nathan!
Yea!!! Congratulations.
Andrea
I’m glad they finally took care of you, Nathan.

Great to hear about the promo. French drains can be expensive, several thousands of $$. One of our neighbors did it last year and it was about $4K, I think. And he even did part of the work himself. Maybe you wouldn’t need ot all around the house, however.

Nathan, I’m really glad to hear about your promotion and that church is going well.
Way to go! You have a good perspective on life. Although things at work effect us all your desire to serve the Lord keeps your heart on solid ground and blessings will follow. I don’t recall the geography or lay of the land around your house. Do you have a lower area on your property to run a french drain to? Dad
Excellent! I am so happy for you, Nathan.
great news nathan…maybe you should celebrate the promotion by taking a trip to England??!! 🙂 love you, janie
