We unexpectedly made a trip to visit Dad and Judy on Wednesday to help with the computer problem. We had not seen some of the landscaping Dad had done in the yard. Here are some pictures….

Nice landscaping job. Did the computer problem get fixed?
Regarding the computer problem, I think that sometimes he was accidentally pressing the Control key instead of the Shift key. So when it came to typing a capital A (Shift A), if he pressed Control A instead, (the Control key is just below the Shift key), he would Select everything. Then the next think he typed would erase everything selected and replace it with what was typed. Then when he closed the document after wondering where everything went, he saved it in that almost empty condition. In my opinion the problem is due to a poorly designed keyboard. Now an advertisement: Macs don’t have this problem because in Macs, the Apple key (aka Command key) has the function of the Control Key on Windows. And the Apple key is not located just below the Shift key. 🙂
