Last night I got off from work early and stopped by Covenant College to see a special event that was taking place in my old dorm (each hall was decorated, interactively, as a game). I saw lots of people I knew, which was nice. As I was preparing to leave, I met up with another one of my friends, and as we started talking, our conversation turned to various struggles of he is going through now in college – which also happened to be the same ones that I went through (well…am going through). Anyway, we ended up talking for about two hours, and I think that I was able to be encouraging to him as well as to myself, as I remembered God’s faithfulness and promises.
My friend asked, and I agreed, that we should meet regularly so that I can encourange him and help keep him accountable (though I expect I, too, will be encouraged and held accountable). I’m thankful to God for his grace in allowing me to help someone who is experiencing much of what I have and am experiencing.
