Hi Everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update on how things are going. I’ve been in New York now for one full week and things seem to be going pretty well. I was mostly settled in by Sunday, and have since then been trying to get my lesson plans prepared. It’s been daunting but I think I’ll get them done in time to be ready and confident for the first day/week(s) of class. Today I started the first of our two-day, new faculty orientation. It’s going well and presents a lot of information (though it was shorter than I anticipated it to be). You might pray for stamina and the grace of a photographic/audiographic memory (at least for this week): I have yet to learn more details about my dorm, administrative, and coaching responsibilities!
I was able to buy a digital camera yesterday, so I’m hoping to be able to post some pictures, perhaps on Sunday (since I won’t have responsibilities that day).
I love you all and thank you so much for your prayers and words of encouragement!

Good word. We’ll be praying a good start in your teaching career.
Looking forward to the pictures.
We will certainly be remembering you, look forward to your pictures. Grandpa Tom & Grandma Judy
Oh, I am so glad you are feeling confident about your lesson plans. I think you are a wonderful teacher, Micah. I am looking forward to the pictures!
I’ll be praying!
I am sure that, like all the other Waldeckers, you will be the most prepared, most thorough teacher that you could be. I am excited about your new teaching career.
What day do classes begin for you?
