I was let go from LifeWay yesterday. My boss and a few others in the department were also let go. My departure date is 3/31. I was completely caught by surprise. I saw no signs of anything. I was up to my eyebrows in work so I had my head down working hard these past many months. The new Pres. didn’t see a need for Startegic Planning and OD. They are eliminating it altogether. My guess is in order to free up some $ for the new Resaerch Division he wants to start.
Since I haven’t been there long, not much severance.
One of the most disapointing things about all this is that I’ll basically have to start all over with a dissertation proposal. Since it was so LifeWay specific. We’ll most likely be leaving Nashville, plus they wouldn’t probably give me access anymoore.
I would appreciate your prayers for me and the whole Churchill Clan.

Wow! That’s unbelievable. What a blow to your family! It’s hard to think it now, but the Lord must have something better. We’ll pray.

Wow! Amazing! It’s comforting to know it wasn’t a surprise to God – and that he has something for your “next” stage of life. But I’m sure the reality must be staggering to your family. We’ll be praying that God gives you the faith to keep your eyes fixed on him and not your circumstances.
