Summer Trip Plans

by Alan on March 10, 2008

We finally have our summer trip plans completed. Here’s the low-down:

We fly into Philadelphia on June 24. We hope to head to Quarryville to see Janie’s aunt – and then make our way down to Abingdon the following day (via DC sightseeing). We then leave out of Philadelphia on July 23 in the evening. We plan to rent a car for our time there and drive to and from Philly. We are also hoping that we might be able to have some sort of family reunion in Chattanooga? the first week of July (Philip is in town from July 1-23). Can’t wait to see you all!

A family reunion in Chattanooga would be fine with us. How about you, Nathan?

We’ve been discussing with Nathan here (he leaves tomorrow) about the possibility of trying to have a family paint ball game. Do you think this might be possible?

I cannot wait to see you all! Indeed, a family reunion would be fantabulunderous! I have never played paint ball before…I have heard it hurts–is that true? 😮

It hurts a little; but if you are having fun you don’t notice that much. I don’t know how I would feel about shooting my own family members. It seems a little strange to me; but paintball is fun. I suppose it is not much different than throwing snowballs or playing capture the flag.

Sounds fun. I hope we can make it to Chattanooga in July.

Covenant had, and maybe still has, some paintball…what would you call them…fields? Anyways, it might be possible to use their facilities and rent their gear. Not sure how much it would cost though. I know that when Covenant had campus sponsored paintball events, students were required to pay about $10. Not sure if that would apply to us if they would let us use their stuff.

I’ll ask around about paintball at Covenant
