“Dear Jesus,
I pray that I’ll stop feeling tired and that my stomach will stop hurting. I pray that you’ll help me not be so lazy. I pray that I’ll be willing to give up anything to have your blessing and that I’ll become more like you each day. Forgive me for being selfish jealous, and rebellious, and forgive me for getting all wrapped up in my self. I pray that You’ll help me with all my problems, if it’s You’re will. Help me not to think if I don’t capitalize You’re name and stuff like that, that You’ll get mad at me [ha, ha, ha! I think this sentence is funny]. Help me to stand firm and be alert. I pray that I won’t just read the Bible when I feel like it or because I have to, but help me to read it to become more like you and help me to enjoy reading it [God has answered this prayer. Sometimes I can’t wait to read the Bible in the morning!].
In Jesus’s name, amen.”

How old were you when you wrote these, Seth?
I was 12. We were living in Limache.
Thank you for sharing all of this. We had not found out yet why your stomach was bothering you although we kept trying. Perhaps your prayers kept us going on that issue. Your “laziness” had much to do with this as you weren’t sleeping well because of the reflux. It would be about another 2 years before a Dr really listened and figured it out. PTL Our heavenly father continues to surprise us.
