After much prayer and thought, I have come to the realization that I need to look for a position at another company. As many of you know, I have been greatly concerned about my “work-life balance” ever since I started at the Bank one year ago today. Now that I have reached my one year anniversary, I am no longer contractually “bound” to remain with the Bank. Work-life balance and the mis-alignment of personal and organizational values serve as the impetuses (or is it impeti?) for my desired departure. However, only this very day, I was in a meeting in which there was discussion about the value of my position with my particular client. I would probably still have a role, perhaps not this one long-term, however. But, this becomes another possible confirming data point.
I do not feel the need to make a swift decision but want to have a little more control over my next move this time. We are all weary of moving. So, in some ways, it would be great if I could find a more suitable position here in Charlotte. The other option is to look back in Nashville. If we considered Nashville, I would personally like to also consider the Nashville-Chattanooga-Knoxville Triangle. We still need to pray about that. There is an interesting position in Crossville, TN (in that Triangle) in which I may express interest.
In any event, I am going to update my resume just in case. I would appreciate ya’lls prayers on this matter. Oh, and I am traveling to DC this weekend (Janice’s Birthday) to meet with my dissertation chair to begin that process again. So, that comes into play here as well.
Thanks for your prayers.

Wow David! You haven’t made a new post in a coon’s age.
Thanks for the update. We will pray with you about this.
I’ll find your resume on computer somewhere.
If you can’t find it, then I think I have an old copy that you sent me, Uncle David, as a model for mine.
I really like all the sayings you use, Uncle David! 😀
I’ll be praying
