Hmmm…I think one thing we should do is eat 😉 I’ve sometimes thought it would be neat to figure out what exactly they ate and did on that first thanksgiving day, and try and replicate that. I know that would probably be difficult, but I am just throwing out an idea.
I like to eat too.
OK
I am planning on being in town for Thanksgiving – IF it’s in Chattanooga or Charlotte or Atlanta. It would be good to see you all again. I am attending the Global Missions Conference in Atlanta – so it will be just me. I have to fly out Friday night from Atlanta (the day after Thanksgiving). And my plan would be for LOTS of pumpkin pie and whipped cream (turkey is optional).
Everyone is welcome to come here. We are also glad to go to Atlanta or Charlotte. (I will also be at the Global Missions Conference in Atlanta, Nov 16-18).
Sharon said they can travel for Thanksgiving. We would love to have everyone here! Its probably a little closer for Sharon and Woody and Katie, but I really don’t know. I think David is going to check it out for me.
David will take off Wednesday and Friday.
Alan, we will make sure we have it where you can attend. And we’ll have plenty of pumpkin pie and whipped cream. I think we can manage some turkey too.
I understand that Alan’s plane to return to the UK leaves Atlanta on Friday, Nov 23, at 8:20 PM. From here the Atlanta airport is about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Alan, I assume you will have a rental car?
I am looking forward to seeing you Alan. We are fine with here, Atlanta, or Chattanooga. Atlanta airport is probably 4.5 hours from here.
Mapquest shows Charlotte to be 2 hrs and 38 miniutes closer than Chattanooga. FYI
But when you are traveling that far, I guess it doesn’t make much difference.
Yes, I will have a rental car.
Getting back on line after being off so long has left us a bit behind. We would be happy for you all to come to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Sharon & Woody have never seen our new house. It would make it farther for Sharon & Woody to travel, but very close for Alan. We would also be willing to show up at either of the other two places. Love, Dad & Judy
Sharon said they would be glad to go to Atlanta, so it looks like Atlanta it is.
We take that as a “go” for you all to be with us here for thanksgiving. More information to be forthcoming as the time draws nearer. Dad & Judy
We look forward to it!
Us too!
