Thank you all for your well wishes! I enjoyed my birthday very much. It was the first birthday that I have not taken off of work since I started at Unum in 2000. I think that perhaps I should have taken off though because it ended up being a very busy, very trying day. Spealing of stories…..
A co-worker in a not so subtle way had asked me what kind on cake I liked. I told her, but said that she did not have to bake me a cake. Well she did, but she had car trouble yesterday so was not able to make it to work. So no cake right? Wrong. Another of my co-workers decided to go to Wal-Mart and get me one. So we enjoyed some cake yesterday afternoon. It was good, but almost too sweet. I got sent home with the extra as well. Last night I also went to my church small group. I brought the left over cake hoping that they would eat it for me, but they had a cake of their own for me. I felt so sick because of all the sweets last night, but feel much better today. Just in time. My co-worker whom baked me a cake called to advise that she would be bringing it in today. Cake number 3.
