Footnotes

You can easily create footnotes in the posts of this blog (they don’t seem to work in the comments–only in the posts.) Just enclose what you want footnoted in double parenthesis, making sure there is a space between the previous text and the opening parenthesis. Here is an example of what it looks like: ((This is a footnote))

Click on the number of the footnote to go to the footnote, then click on the “back” link to go back to the main text where you left off. ((Try it out. And let me know if you have any questions)) To refer to an existing footnote a second or third time, type the following ref:# enclosed in double parenthesis, where # is the number of the footnote. Like so: ((ref:2))

Let me show you how you type it. ((since it doesn’t seem to work in comments)) In this case, the text enclosed in double quotes would appear at the bottom of the page as a footnote. The footnote number would appear after the words “type it.”
